Ukraine to participate in the Eurovision-2011 first semi-final

The representative of Ukraine to the 2011 Eurovision song contest is nominated to perform on May 12, during the first half of the second semi-final, which will be held in German city of Dusseldorf. 

This is one of the semi-final allocation draw results which took place in Dusseldorf on January 17, where there was also decided in which semi-final each of the 38 countries will participate and in which half, the press office of the First National Channel reports. Meanwhile, it has not been decided who will represent Ukraine in the 2011 Eurovision. 

Now the First National is selecting the contest participant. The final sms-voting at the end of February will

determine the winner. Just to remind, Germany got the right to host the Eurovision after the representative of this country, a 19 year-old Lena Meyer-Landrut won the last year’s competition, held in Oslo, Norway.

 That time Ukraine was represented by Alyosha ( real name – Olena Kucher), who managed to

become one of the top ten finalists.
