It is easier to get a job for men than for women in Ukraine
In April, the level of employment of women by the State Employment Service of Ukraine made up 10,3% against 18% of men employment. This is according to State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, "LIGABiznesInform".
In april, 63,2 thousand unemployed men and 40,7% unemployed women were given a job by the State Employment Service. However, in late April there were registered in Ukraine 256 thousand of unemployed men and 323,9 thousand of unemployed women. Among the urban population it was 342,9 thousand people, and 237 thousand among the rural population.
It's important to remind, that in April 2011 the average size of unemployment benefits in Ukraine increased by 5.32 UAH - from 809,63 UAH to 814,95 UAH.
