Scientists from Canada have concluded that adult brain better remember information when it makes mistakes and it has to go through the ordeal.

If a person makes mistakes in the learning process - it is good. This process is more efficient compared to passive learning. Because you have to comprehend the errors and make parallels.

During the two independent trials researchers compared how 45 people aged 25 years and 45 people, whose average age was 70 years coped with the task. There were used two methods of study. The first involved the passive learning (eg, people were asked to remember the category "flower" and the related word "rose"). The second didn't exclude errors: the category was given, but the word should be guessed.

Yes, scientists have shown great effectiveness of the second method. According to experts, the brain of the participants had to work actively to establish connection. By the way, the members better remembered context in which these words were given. And when the answer is already given, the brain can relax. This is worked especially good with the elderly - writes www.newsme.com.ua
